Farm and Farmers Market Assistant
Location: Richmond, KY and Lexington, KY
Start Date: March 2025; Position is seasonal from March to October
Position: Part-Time Farm and Farmers Market Assistant
Pay: Starting at $15- 20/ hour + mileage
Hours: 10–25 hours per week

Sav’s Garden is dedicated to providing high-quality, locally grown specialty cut flowers. We are passionate about sustainable agriculture and building connections with our community through farmers markets and our farm.
Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team. This role involves a balance of hands-on farm labor and representing Sav’s Garden at weekend farmers markets. Some local deliveries may be required as well. If you love working outdoors, are reliable, and enjoy engaging with the local community, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Perform outdoor farm tasks such as planting, weeding, harvesting, and general maintenance.
Prepare flowers and goods for market days.
Set up, operate, and take down the farmers market booth.
Assist customers, handle sales transactions, and promote products at the farmers market.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment both on the farm and at the market.
Requirements:
Interest and experience in outdoor/agricultural labor preferred.
Must have reliable transportation to the farm (560 Charles White Road, Richmond KY- this location is about 30 minutes from downtown Lexington via the Valley View Ferry) and farmers market locations in Lexington and possibly Madison County.
Saturday availability is required for farmers market shifts. Occasional Sunday morning availability is helpful as well
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions.
Sense of humour, customer service skills, willingness to learn, comfort with manual labor, and excellent communication skills.
